Historical Kutub Minar !
After Mumbai Terror Attacks!
This mass hysteria against terrorism is also high because of elite places were the target. If it had happened with common man or in some slums, reactions may not be that strong. But this time all eminent people, business groups and organisations stood together to question the government.
But I think being a common man, we should be more empathetic towards our surroundings. We should start taking interest in our neighbours. To take notice of what’s happening around us leaving the “Saanu ki” attitude behind if we really want to fight terrorism.
We should equip our self to fight against terror. Schools should make the NCC training compulsory to all the students.
There should be free self defence training classes for students ,youngsters and other interested people.
In our societies/localities and surrounding areas, we should take notice of each and every change.
We should follow the Rules/Procedures/Law defined for our safety like Tenant /Employee verification.
Govt. should build and support “disaster management” groups and provide free training to the people.
Public should itself start taking interest and join these groups to equip themselves to handle these kinds of situations.
These were the few precautionary steps came into my mind , please contribute your ideas and thoughts to safeguard ourselves .

Hyderabad : Moving towards Metropolitan culture!!!
After having the bad experience with the city initially, I start to look up for the positive things because I always believed that there is always something good associated with the bad.
To start with, Hyderabad is quite a safe place in respect to other metro cities like Delhi. Corruption is universal in India, But here at least food items and other daily routine stuff can be expected unadulterated. In Delhi and the surrounding area one can't be sure of that.
Next good thing I found here is gardens. One can call it a 'City of Gardens'. In every 2 kilometers radius there is a garden and that too well maintained. One can start its day with soothing greenery and a nice peaceful jog. Recently I have been to Vengal Rao park in Banjara Hills and saw the lotus buds in the pond. I hadn't seen so many lotus in my life. They were so beautiful.
Hyderabad had been maintaining its old heritage with the latest upcoming metropolitan culture. But now it seems difficult to maintain. Meanwhile city seems to be on construction spree. On each and every major road, there is some makeover going on. Like broadening of roads or flyover construction or metro work is going on. So many trees have been sacrificed in the process of development. This is spoiling the beauty of the city and environment.
I'll definitely update few other good things next time but meanwhile browse through the list of famous gardens in the city......
- Necklace Road -
Its not a park but a famous hangout spot of the city. One can call it a Chaupati of Hyderabad. If you are visiting Hyderabad, you must see this place. Eat Street and Water Front restaurants are the best places around to sit,eat and relax. - Indira Park -
This is also located near Tank Band. Here one can boat also. - Jalavihar Family Water Park -
Another park near Necklace Road. - NTR(Nandamoori Taraka Ramarao) Gardens -
Its near Necklace Road. Here are few games for kids and adults. - Public Gardens -
This was the old zoo and now is a beautiful place for both children and adults. - Sanjeeviah Park.
- Krishna Kanth Park.
- Lotus Pond (Jubilee Hills).
- Botanical Garden.
- Nehru Zoological Park.
- KBR National Park.
- Lumbhini Park -
This is famous for its laser shows in the evening. This show starts with musical fountain presentation and ends with the laser show telling the history of Hyderabad and its famous historical monuments. - Chilkur Wildlife Park.
- Mahaveer Vanasthali Wildlife park.
- Chacha Nehuru Park (Masab Tank).
- Jalagam Vengal Rao Park (JVR Park, Banjara Hills).
The wild life parks, botanical garden and zoo have several educational programs including lectures with live snakes.

Movie Review : Jaane Tu...ya Jaane Na
Producer: Mansoor Khan, Aamir Khan
Director: Abbas TyrewalaStar
Cast: Imran Khan, Genelia Dsouza, Ratna Pathak, Manjari Phadnis, Anuradha Patel,Jayant Kriplani, Alishka Varde, Nirav Mehta, Ayaz Khan, Karan Makhija, Sugandha Garg, Prateik Babbar, Renuka Kunzru, Naseruddin Shah
Lyricist: Abbas Tyrewala
Music Director: A R Rahman
Choreography: Rajeev Soorti
Editor: Shan Mohammed
Costume: Ashley Rebello
Story Writer: Abbas Tyrewala
Well this movie has exceptionally predictable story, nothing new. This has a college gang, best friends(Genelia & Imran) but don't know that they love each other,a broken marriage, a single parent and siblings relationship. This is a mixture of all Amir Khan hit movies masala.College group from "Jo Jeeta Wahi sikander" but minus fun,Story telling from "Rang De Basanti" and a little comedy from "Andaaz apna apna" but it lacks the Amir khan's movie spark.
After Taare Zameen par, people have a lot more expectations from him but this is a weak movie.
Story starts with the college group and their activities but they only good thing is its void of college show off studs and college group clashes. One good thing is College students look like college students. Performances by Imran and Genelia are ok and anyway did not demand performance of a lifetime from them. But Supporting cast was fabulous. Be it husband-wife duo of Ratna Pathak Shah and Naseeruddin Shah as Imran’s parents. I laughed everytime when they both were onscreen together. All other kids (one of them Smita Patil-Raj Babbar’s son Prateek) are good too. Music is distinctly A. R. Rehman-ish. Kabhi Kabhi Aditi…,Pappu can't dance music is foot tapping and do not miss Khan brothers (Arbaaz and Sohail) dressed as wacko cowboys to add some fun but they just used to drag the story further.
This is only for college goers to watch or if you don't have anything else to do then you can watch this movie.
My rating for this is 2/5

Traffic in Hyderabad: No rules apply
People can use train, buses and autos as public transportation option.
MMTS(Multi-Model Transport service) is Hyderabad city's train service. This service is good but is not well connecting the city. This only connects the few areaes of the city.Govt. is not promoting it in the right way.
APSRTC runs bus service in the city.I didn't try this option after seeing the crowd .One can not read the destination plate. These are placed in such a way you can't read the names of the places mentioned on the board .Language is another problem sometimes if you want to ask .
There is only one option left for me is Auto.Although Auto run by meter but i never used to get one.Auto starts with 10Rs and 5 Rs/km but they always charge you minimum 20Rs for the nearest place. Most of the times they won't go by meters and they are quite rude too.One funny thing i found, when you pay them they won't return you change unless you ask.
Traffic situation is too bad in the city.Nobody understands that there is right side on the road.If you are standing on red light to take left, all the traffic will queue up on left side even the buses etc.No one can take the free left.
There are wide open roads in the city .People think these are their playground and they are running some freestyle race there.People don't know what lane means make the situation worst. There is no underpass or foot over bridges to cross the road for pedestrians.Red lights are mismanaged. Its a life threat to walk on roads as there are no footpath on road side.I have seen so many accidents where bikers/private vehicles hit the pedestrians.
In spite of high petrol and vehicle registration charges, there are so many private vehicles on the road. They all real nuisance on road specially when don't understand the phrase "Traffic Rules".

2 BHK flat in hyderabad
Earlier i had come to hyderabad as tourist and we stayed at Green Park hotel. Its one of the decent hotel in the heart of the city.
I visited all the famous places in the city like Salarjung museum,Golconda fort,Tank bund,Waterfront restaurent,Birla mandir, famous gardens of the city and i shopped for pearls and other famous stuff. That was a memorable experience. After that also i visited the city couple of times as tourist and i liked the place.
But now this time it was different and i shifted from delhi to hyderabd when my husband got one good opportunity in the city . I got to see the city in a very different shade.
Our first struggle started with the search for a place. We were looking for the place near to the city as well as office so we zeroed in Srinagar colony area but rentals are soaring high.In noida in 10,000 bucks one can rent in a 2BHK apartment in Sec-62 area that is a posh area and construction quality is very good but here we were not able to find a 2bhk flat .Sometime construction is too old or locality is not good or car parking is not available. After so much struggle we found one good place in 12000 but there was a water problem.Drinking water is a major problem in the city.If you search out on property websites there one can see the ads for rent in 8000 bucks but when you will contact them they will tell you that its been sold out and currently no property is available in this budget.I am still searching for a decent flat after shifting in a temporary accomodation .
My top 15 K-dramas list
It has been more than a year since I got hooked on Korean dramas. I like the happy ending (mostly) and stories are finished in 16-20 episode...
